About us

Accounts Administrator | Location Chelmsford, UK | Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Control the handling the Sales Ledger on a daily basis.
  • Control monitor and review outstanding invoices with prompt resolution of queries
  • Ensure all sales invoices are filed accurately and timely.
  • Assist in the general reconciliation process on a monthly basis
  • Control and process all credit card and petty cash payments
  • Assist in the preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Assist sub-contractor payments if necessary and ensure timely release to accordance with company policies.
  • To assist with Purchase Ledger when required or to cover sickness, holiday etc..
  • Support and assist management in detailed and continued, advice, knowledge and practical input to ensure full delivery of the business processes.
  • Any other Ad hoc duties as requested by management

Qualifications

  • Extensive and detailed knowledge of an accounts department
  • AAT qualification is desirable.
  • Understanding of cash book and purchase ledger, sub contractor ledger and nominal ledger.
  • Understanding construction specific rules and requirements
  • Knowledge of sub-contracting rules and regulations
  • Experience with using SAGE/Xero/QuickBooks
  • Understanding of the construction industry requirements would be preferable
  • Knowledge of job management system would be preferable.

Junior Quantity Surveyor | Location Chelmsford, UK | Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the commercial team providing support on contracts as needed, including pricing variations, and assisting with subcontract procurement.
  • Attending site visits, performing site surveys and meet with stakeholders
  • Producing final accounts and reconciliation for each client liaising with clients and maintaining communication
  • Analyse project plans and specification
  • Calculating costs for materials, plant, labour and sub-contract packages in line with agreed programmes of work and procurement schedule.

Requirements:

  • Graduate level. Experience within the construction industry is preferable.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong IT skills, with the ability to manage documentation and reporting systems efficiently.
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to meet strict deadlines.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of building construction and materials.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, especially relating to mould and hazardous substances.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical fitness and willingness to work in challenging environments, such as confined spaces or at height.

Key Responsibilities: –

  • Must be competent in testing, carrying out EICRs and using a laptop with certification software.
  • Experience in Easycert would be beneficial
  • Must be competent in a variety of 1st and 2nd fix, remedial works, kitchen and bathroom installations, rewires, emergency lighting upgrades

Key Responsibilities:
