Contracts Manager | Location Chelmsford, UK | Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple small projects (typically £50k–£2M) concurrently across Essex and the South East.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Review contract documentation (JCT, NEC or similar) and ensure compliance with terms and specifications.
- Lead progress meetings with clients, consultants and internal teams.
- Plan resources and labour effectively to maintain productivity and programme targets.
- Monitor project performance, cost control, and quality assurance in line with company procedures.
- Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring delivery aligns with scope and programme.
- Support tendering, estimating, and programme development for upcoming projects.
- Provide leadership to site teams, ensuring professional conduct and consistent delivery.
- Identify and manage variations, risks, and opportunities to maximise project outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records, reporting regularly to senior management on progress and performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Site Manager role.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and building regulations.
- Proven experience managing budgets, programmes and client relationships.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Renewable / Electrical Supervisor | Location Chelmsford, UK | Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and manage PV installations, ensuring MCS compliance and quality delivery.
- Prepare system designs, completion packs and O&M documentation.
- Oversee renewable contracts and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and site teams.
- Work closely with other supervisors and managers to expand and strengthen the renewable division.
- Support the delivery of retrofit works with a clear understanding of PAS processes and standards.
- Ensure all works meet NHF Schedule of Rates, social housing standards and client expectations.
- Liaise with clients, residents and colleagues to ensure excellent communication and service.
- Educate, mentor and develop engineers within the team.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, proactive and solutions-driven working environments.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in renewable energy installations (solar PV essential).
- MCS knowledge and experience in planning, design and certification processes.
- Experience in other renewable technologies such as EV charging and ASHP (desirable).
- Experience within the social housing sector with a strong understanding of NHF Schedule of Rates.
- Good working knowledge of retrofit and PAS processes.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead, support, and motivate a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
Electrician | Location Chelmsford, UK | Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out EICRs to both commercial and domestic buildings.
- Competent in a variety of 1st and 2nd fix, remedial works, kitchen and bathroom installations, rewires, emergency lighting upgrades and general repairs.
- Provide update to supervisors/manager from site.
- Knowledge of Renewable work is desirable but not essential.
- Competent with general IT, experience with job management software/app preferable.
- Using a laptop with certification software.
- Experience in Easycert would be beneficial.
- Competent in a variety of 1st and 2nd fix, remedial works, kitchen and bathroom installations, rewires, emergency lighting upgrades and general repairs.
- Provide update to supervisors/manager from site.
- Knowledge of Renewable work is desirable but not essential.
Requirements:
- Experience working in both domestic/social housing and commercial.
