SHEQ Manager | Location Chelmsford, UK | Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Health & Safety Leadership: Lead and implement comprehensive health and safety programmes for both internal teams, promoting a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organisation
- Conduct internal site inspections and audits, manage external audits, and ensure the company maintains all necessary accreditations and complies with current legislation
- Work closely with Contracts Managers, Site Managers, and Operatives to embed a strong SHEQ culture and resolve operational challenges
- Develop and manage project-specific construction and environmental management plans, ensuring alignment with SHEQ objectives
- Training & Development: Deliver toolbox talks, briefings, and training sessions to raise awareness and competence in SHEQ matters
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports for regulatory bodies, and support the business in achieving ISO and CDM compliance
Requirements:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (Essential)
- Membership of IOSH or equivalent professional body
- Proven experience in a similar SHEQ role within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and UK HSW legislation
- Excellent communication and risk management skills
- Familiarity with ISO management systems and audit processes
Project Manager | Location Chelmsford, UK | Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver refurbishment and projects across public sector and educational buildings
- Manage the full project lifecycle – from design coordination and pricing through to completion and handover
- Liaise with clients, architects, and designers to ensure alignment and satisfaction
- Coordinate with direct labour teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery
- Oversee schedules, site logistics and health & safety compliance
- Ensure all works meet company quality standards and client expectations
- Read and interpret technical drawings (CAD experience advantageous)
- Provide regular progress updates to senior leadership and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing refurbishment projects, particularly in public sector and educational settings
- Strong technical background in construction (hands-on experience ideal)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills – confident dealing with clients and teams
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, site-based environment
- Full UK driving licence (Essential)
Junior Quantity Surveyor | Location Chelmsford, UK | Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting Directors and Contracts Managers
- Allocating work to subcontractors and preparing payment certificates
- Supporting procurement and working with our buying team to source materials
- Preparing and reviewing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and schedule of rates
- Monitoring project progress and helping maintain accurate site records
- Supporting compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Communicating with site teams to ensure accurate and timely paperwork
- Liaising with the finance team to support payment collection and dispute resolution
- Maintaining positive client relationships to help secure future opportunities
Requirements:
- 1+ years’ experience in construction or commercial administration
- Experience in social housing and schedule of rates is preferred but not essential
- Familiarity with valuations, procurement, or contract documentation is beneficial
Plumber | Location Chelmsford & Surrounding Areas, UK | Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with current regulations and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of work completed
- Provide excellent customer service on-site
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a plumber
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
- Gas Safe registration (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
